Lucky Day: A Short Film by the Hongyun Art Movie Club

Wow!  Congratulations to our 2011 Fall Hongyun Art Movie Club members on their first short film!  Our movie club team members age 8 to 11 did a great job at writing the script as well as filming it!  Go team go!

Pretty cool, right?  Here's some photos of the team having fun and making the props!

New Hongyun Art Event Photos Page!

Hongyun Artists working on the mural project at Whole Foods Market Stevens CreekHave you seen our new event photos section?  We have uploaded photos from our first two super big events, both sponsored by Whole Foods Market Stevens Creek in Cupertino!

We have photos from our 2011 Fall Art Show that exhibited artwork from all of our students.  Over 400 pieces of artwork were exhibited from Hongyun Artists ages 3 1/2 to 14 years of age.  We had an outstanding turnout of over 2000 attendees!

We also have photos from our most recent project - the Whole Foods Market murals!  Over 100 Hongyun Artists ages 7 and up along with the Hongyun Art teachers and assistants helped create these amazing murals in just two days!  Students used the leadership skills, creativity, and teamwork they learned from Hongyun Art to create something wonderful for the community to enjoy!  We encourage you to stop by the Whole Foods Market Stevens Creek produce and bakery departments to see the mural which spans over 100 feet long!

Winter Camp, Spring Camp, and Summer Camps! Let's GO!

It's almost time for our World Famous Hongyun Art Camps!

More info and Camp Registration Form

Our camps our a bit different in that we have students focus for the entire week on a team-based project. Parents will often ask, "will my student be bored of just one project?" The answer is a resounding, "No!" Students have lots of fun making new friends and working as a team to complete very challenging and incredible projects!

Just take a look at the result from a past summer camp.  The students age 7 and up wrote, laid-out, inked, and colored this book in just one camp week!  The book is about Mindy, a Welsh Corgi puppy that goes on a great adventure and meets new friends along the way.  You can purchase a copy of this comic book in our school or on Amazon.com.  It's also available in the Cupertino Library (just search for Hongyun Art).

We currently have early registration discounts for most of our camp weeks!  Get more information and REGISTER for Hongyun Art Camp on our new "Camp" page.

Happy 2012!

Hello everyone!  Hongyun Art begins classes again on Wednesday January 4th at 3:30pm.  We have lots of fun and challenging projects planned for everyone and hope you are ready!

See you in 2012!

Hi! I'm Mindy Dog - Hongyun Art's mascot.

Thank you for a great year everyone!  Our school has grown quite a bit and we had a very fun (and crowded!) art show at Whole Foods Market in Cupertino.  We are now closed for the rest of the year and everyone is taking a break.

Currently the school is closed for the winter break from Dec 12 - Jan 3, 2012. School will start again on January 4th.   While the school is closed, please feel free to email us at HongyunArt@gmail.com or call and leave a message at 408-673-0568.

It may take us a few days to get back to you, but we promise that we'll answer each and every piece of email and voicemail that we get. Thanks for your patience! Also, if you would like something to read while you are waiting for a reply, take a look at the book some of the students of Hongyun Art created about me--Mindy Dog!
