July 21 - 25, 2014

This summer camp week focused on learning to recycle and create new interesting art from found pieces!  We had a field trip to the San Francisco Zoo where we visited an art exhibit made entirely from garbage collected from the ocean!  We also got to visit and learn about all kinds of animals too!      We concluded our week with a scavenger hunt and cooking class at Whole Foods Market!

July 14 - 18, 2014

This summer camp week focused on learning about what it takes to be a working artist or designer!   We had a field trip to the Stanford Art and Architecture Department where we got a behind the scenes tour of the classrooms, met real college students and sat in on their class, toured the Stanford Art Library, and even met a real Stanford professor who showed us how their photo darkroom developed photos on film!    We concluded our week with a scavenger hunt and cooking class at Whole Foods Market!

July 7 - 11, 2014

This summer camp week focused on learning about animals and nature and using art to express what our students learned and enjoyed the most!   We had a field trip to the Palo Alto children's zoo where we learned about animals and science!  We concluded our week with a scavenger hunt and cooking class at Whole Foods Market!

June 16 - 27, 2014

Mindy Comic Summer Camp is where kids come together to create their own comic adventure!  In just two weeks, we created two full length graphic novels!  After the character designs, dialog, storyline, and artwork are completed, Hongyun Art works with a publisher to put the books into print!  They are available for purchase on Amazon.com and other retailers as well as available to libraries around the world!  Cool! 

Our Spring Break Crafting Camp was super fun!  We brainstormed ideas for projects then we went shopping!  We learned how to pick out our own materials and supplies to make our crafts!

Our innovative Mid Year Break Camp is a fun experience where our students work on interesting creative projects each day!  During this camp week, we researched and helped non-profit organizations with super cool artwork, created our own holiday and painted T-shirts to celebrate them, created our own brand of chocolate and made chocolates treats, learned from a real veterinarian and gave Mindy our dog a full check up, and finally made cards and posters for our parents

Our Winter Art Camp explores many different topics and types of art - each day is a different project!  It was so much fun!

Our innovative Creative Business Summer Camp is a fun experience where we learn how to create interesting crafts and learn about how to sell them.  At the end of the week, we create our very own craft convention with a visit from our "sharks" who interview each student, review their creations, and decide who is the winner of a cash prize!

Our Art Explorers Summer Camp visited 5 different places on 5 different day-long field trips in the Bay Area and learned about what goes on at each location!  We saw the inside of a hotel and learned about all the people that make it run and even visited a ranch with a real cowboy to learn about horses! 

Go from zero-to-published in just 2 weeks!  Almost 30 students at every level worked together to create the next stories in the adventures of Mindy the Corgi Dog!  This summer we created book 4 of the Mindy Comic adventure!
